Apply Now4 Years (+1 Optional) · 32 Students per Batch · KU Entrance Examination
A KU-affiliated bachelor program blending engineering depth with professional teaching practice.
The B. Tech. Ed. in Information Technology (IT) is a dual-degree program run in collaboration with Kathmandu University (KU). In the first four years, students earn a B. Tech. Ed. — qualifying them to teach IT at secondary and higher-secondary levels as well as at technical vocational institutions. Upon successful completion of the B. Tech. Ed., graduates may apply for an additional +1 year to be awarded the standalone B. Tech. engineering degree, reaching a total duration of 5 years. This dual pathway uniquely equips graduates with both teaching credentials and an engineering degree.
The 4-year B. Tech. Ed. curriculum is designed by KU and combines advanced engineering topics — programming, database administration, network security, web development, and emerging technologies such as AI — with comprehensive teacher-training modules including educational psychology, curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment. Graduates who wish to advance further can enrol in the +1 additional year to complete the full B. Tech. degree, bringing their total qualification to 5 years and broadening career opportunities into both technical education and the wider engineering industry.
