Civil engineering is considered the first discipline of the various branches of engineering and includes the designing, planning, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure. Works include roads, bridges, buildings, dams, canals, water supply, hydro-power and numerous other facilities that affect the life of human beings.
Civil engineering is intimately associated with the private and public sectors, including the individual homeowners and international enterprises. Civil engineering has made an inestimable contribution to modern life, providing the crucial expertise behind our vast transportation systems and the wide array of built structures where we work, study, and play.
Eligibility
Students must have completed SLC or SEE with minimum grade — Compulsory Mathematics C grade, Science C grade and Compulsory English D+ grade — or TSLC with GPA 1.6, and should pass the Diploma Entrance Examination conducted by CTEVT or as per CTEVT norms & conditions.
